The Art of Black Motherhood was founded by a Black mother with one simple belief: Black motherhood deserves to be seen, celebrated, and worn with pride.
Motherhood holds so much. It is the love you give freely, the strength you find when life gets heavy, the laughter that carries your family through, and the legacy you are building one day at a time. We created this brand to honor all of it.
Our graphic tees are made for the school run, the family gathering, the special brunch, the quiet coffee moment, the picture day, and every ordinary day that becomes meaningful because of the love you bring to it. A note from the founder

Hi, I’m Kerry, the founder of The Art of Black Motherhood.

As a Black mother, I know how much we carry. We pour love into our families, hold everyone together through difficult seasons, celebrate the little victories, pray over our children, and continue building a legacy... even on the days when we feel tired or unseen.

I created The Art of Black Motherhood because I wanted us to have a space that reflects who we truly are. A space that celebrates not only our strength, but also our joy, tenderness, faith, humor, beauty, and the deep love we have for our families.

Too often, Black mothers are expected to be strong without being reminded that we also deserve to feel seen, encouraged, celebrated, and cared for.

What began with a desire to share positive images and uplifting messages has grown into a community of mothers who encourage one another, celebrate their children, keep the faith, and remind each other that we do not have to be perfect to be good mothers.

Your stories, comments, laughter, prayers, and love for your families continue to inspire everything we create.
